I've been a contract screenprinter using a lot of different busineeses. I don't know how to screenprint but I know everything about it. I'm looking to get my own heat press and start doing my own work. How does this compare to screenprinting. I can either buy a screenprinting eqipment or I can buy the necassry equipment for the heat pressing. Can you print on all garments with heat press as you can with screenprinting. Sorry to flood with all this but just looking for advice

Tough Question. I think it matters what qty, of each design you will be doing. Heat is better for lower qty,. I use heat but most orders are smaller, individual names. If I have large order I take it to a screener. Welcome aboard.

We do both screen printing and heat. If I had the choice to get one or the other I would definitely get the screen printing equipment. The profit margin is higher and you are able to do much larger orders. But if you are only trying to do smaller orders the heat press would be just fine. You can heat transfer on any material just like screen printing. If you check out signwarehouse.com they have a lot of different material available for heat pressing. I hope this helps!
