I use several venders for heat transfers. So as not to favor one over another...look at their website, if applicable, most will have a FAQ section or some have function when you click on a transfer image it will say hot or cold peel. Some have links to the area to find the info.

If you're are REALLY new, then contact the companies you find and request samples. pro world, Semo, transfer express, Dowling Graphics and F&M expressions all were very quick about getting samples to me.

Printing on t-shirts, yesterday used a simple transfer that i assumed a hot peel 385 temp and medium pressure, for 15 seconds the transfer looks like it burned right through the shirt any ideas?
You shouldn't have to assume unless you bought them secondhand.

Otherwise I'm not sure I understand what happened, what do you mean the transfer burned through the shirt? If the shirt is scorched, your press is much hotter than 385.

What kind of press/shirt/transfer?
