Hello

I am new to this forum and the t shirt industry in general and I am looking for some tips or any types of informaion I can get..

Currently I am in the process of creating my own brand and line of t shirts, all of my work is hand done by airbrush, and I am aiming at the higher end bracket, for people that are trendy, and appreciate art and uniqueness.

all of my lines are going to be limited quantities..

I have a few specialty botiques very interested in my work and they said for me to bring in my designs when I have enough put togher..

The only complication im having is I cant seem to stick to a theme for my line, so far I have made things related to egypt, ships, and skulls..

there awesome designs but, not remotely the same..

does anyone think I should stick to one theme and change it from line to line
or,

should I throw out a variety of different designs?

if anyone has any tips or tricks for someone new to the business I will really appreciate it.

Thank you.

Hmm the designs do sound very different from each other, but that could be a good thing or a bad thing :) I would print a few of each and see which designs people respond to better. Get a good idea that way off the designs you have, and then maybe gear your designs based on the feedback you get form those. That is what I would do anyways :) You never know, they may like all of them.

Thank you for your reply.. thats good advice..
I think what im going to do is make 2 for each category than they dont seem too random, in that way than I will have 3 lines going all at once, and I will just add to each one of them as I go.

if anyone has any advice as far as business, marketing, emerging trends for the t shirts, or anything else you think is valueable for a startup, let me know :)

Basically where Im planning on taking my business venture is to get into high end specialty shops, further advancing into fashion shows, and going international, (new york, toronto etc).

I know a few people in this area which are in charge of some of the major brands, and they said they can help me out.

I am marketing to people which have an appreciation for fine art, and for the time, thaught and detail which goes into each of my shirt designs.

all of my shirts are going to be in the upper bracket, and at limited quantities to each store.

this is a basic overview of my vision for my business, let me know if that helps..
