Hi Everybody. This is my first post and I have a few questions. I am really new to Dye Sublimation and received all my equipment from Conde last week. My original intention was to just make mugs but I figured I would eventually get into tee’s also so I went with the Ricoh SG3110dn and the George Knight DC 16 combo press with mug attachment.
I have been pretty busy the last week so I have not had a chance to hook anything up yet.

My computer is a MacBook Pro running the latest version of OSX I am also running Parallels with Windows 7. I will be mainly using Photoshop/Illustrator but have a trial of Corel Draw on the Windows side. Would it be better to set up my print drivers through OSX or Windows? I tried searching the forums but could not find too much info dealing with OSX.
Thanks

I don't know that it really matters what OS you are using with one exception. To get correct colors you will need to install the drivers from Conde so you will have the correct ICC. Conde will help you set up. If you told Conde you would be doing sublimation, they would have shipped sublimation carts for the printer. I am pretty sure they would not have shipped OEM carts. You do not install the ricoh OEM carts just the Conde carts. With sublimation any 300dpi or better image will work fine

It did not ship with any OEM ink just the dye sub ink so no chance of putting the wrong ink in. Hopefully I will have everything set up this weekend. I am still waiting on my replacement case of mugs. The first one was man handled by UPS and all but 4 where broken or chipped.

I just love it when my breakable stuff gets manhandled. My cutter was delivered with a huge hole punched into the box! Luckily it just, and I do mean just, missed the cutter! I really enjoy sublimation. I know you will too.
