Hey All,

Hope all father's are have a great Father's Day 2010!!
Anyways, I just stumbled upon this site in desperate search to start up a small t-shirt firm in my county!

I am 21 and in a family of business owners. I love reading about marketing and business. In fact I own and operate my own personal training website, lawn care and produce market. seeing as these are side job money makers I love them but are have second though on if they will keep me happy in life and fulfilled. My major in college is Business Marketing and Advertisement. So my passion for this type of business has always been there just haven't never had the money to peruse it till I was Out of college. This was until about a month ago.

Long Story Short.....
I said my family was all business owners will my cuz(AKA: Brother) Had to make a foreclosure on a t-shirt factory and apparel business. This company was one of the biggest in the south east with their miss fortune I have became proud owner of a fully loaded desk top mac with all of photoshop and adobe software also an endless supply of t-shirts,hoodies, caps etc...
After Cleaning up the Cum stains from turning this baby on I have Played around with ps and all of its of cs software. Now With my cousion and family friends beating down my bed room door for t-shirt designs I have came here for help!!!!
So Areas I need Help with is
Where To obtain a printer for screens
What is a good cheap silk printing machine max of 3 colors for now.
Software to take the Images I have created on ps and place them on a t-shirt layout.
Also Other General Knowledge I will been to persue this career!! My Mind is talented, I'm very computer and business smart. I have saved up about 2500 and my cuz said he would help if I needed any more money also I have at-least 5 businesses that have agreed to let me come up with a design and t-shirt if I can beat the others prices one business is possibly needed around 500 shirts by fall
Any General Knowledge will be great!!!!

Sorry, about that I am a Big computer nerd people never expect it lol model on the out nerd on the inside.

Find some videos on youtube. From there you can get some ideas basically. Search for silkscreen printing, seregrafia, exposing screens, exposure unit, color separation.

Make a list of the things you see on the videos and ask some information and technicals here in forums... I think that will be a good start.

Awesome!! I have been doing that but idk it seems like things get very redundant after a while
I Know I need a press But which one is good to start with
I Know I need a printer for film but what's a good one
I'm learning the screen burning process so got that covered
Mainly I just need to google ask watch attend and google some more
oh and write it all down and Learn learn learn....
