I would like to give a resounding, 'Thank you' first of all. These forums have been my lifeblood in an industry I know very little about.

I just started a screen printing business and I have been scouring over this site for every bit of information I can get my hands on.

I have been looking for a solid printer to begin making some good positives.. it seems like there is a solid 'thumbs up' for the Epson 1400. So before I buy one, I just wanted to verify that it is going to be a good, solid purchase?

Of course, your help and information will be greatly appreciated.

What other specific information are you looking for before you decide to make the purchase

I am currently using a laser printer and I am getting irritated at having to use the spray toner enhancement and doubling up my positives to get a good image on my screens.

Will the Epson 1400 print positives good enough to use straight from the printer?

You may want to start a new topic in the screen printing section (with a descriptive title) so that members with that equipment or experience can easily see your question and chime in.

Absolutely! I also used to use a laser printer and I would have to sit there lining up the films because I would have to double them up.

The Epson 1400 was definitely one of the best purchases that I have made! It took a little messing around with the settings but I now get dark positives, no doubling up and no toner enhancer!

You can feel confident purchasing one
