New Machine Empty White Cartridge

Hi everyone, new to the t-shirt printing world. I currently just purchased a GT-381 from Brother and I have been really impressed with the prints thus far, however, we have only printed 30 or so t-shirts and we have already emptied 1 of the 4 white cartridges. The machine of course will not print anything at the moment because one is down.
Any ideas on how I depleted ONE of the cartridges already??? No leaks and a weekly cleaning schedule.

Thanks for any help on this.

Only thing I can think of is are you printing with full mask and highlight? Also are you printing in 361 mode and not 381 mode? Those the only 2 thing that make sense.
Have you pulled out the extra white cartridge and compared the weight to one that is showing full? Just curious if the cartridge is not registering properly with the ink sensor. Just a quick suggestion.

The other thing that you can do is speak with the GT dealer or Brother directly about getting the printer's log analyzed. It is pretty easy to do and that could help identify the issue.

if you are doing a daily white clean.....DAILY....you will consume A LOT of ink...I did the same thing when i first purchased mine...and in my case the number 2 cartridge drained first...brother has an update to the cleaing schedule, if you contact then they can email it you.
Hi Roz, What are the ink levels like on the other 3 carts? What is the size of the images you are printing? If they are small prints and you are concerned you are using more ink that you should be... I would dial down your ink levels until you notice the white being dull and then go back up 1.

We get a couple of carts a year that have the plastic bladder inside burst, check to see if there's a leak inside the cartridge?

If that doesn't help... Look inside the machine and check for any ink around the capping station that shouldn't be there?

The ink levels on the other three carts were almost full, we just had one that was used up (I honestly think they sold me a printer with a refurbished cartridge). My highlight has been set to 7 and my mask is set to 3, this could be my problem. We don't seem to have any leaks anywhere.

Thank you so much for the help everyone!

We are printing in 381 mode, could that be a problem as well?

Thanks for all the help!
