New Drying Cabinet

What do you think of the drying cabinet I just built? It holds 12 23x31 screens and 6 20x24 screens or a full 18 20x24 screens. The dehumidifier is in the door to the right and is controlled by one of the switches installed onto the wall. The other switch controls the exposure unit.

The shelf and counter were pre-existing and I built the cabinet into it.

Looks practical. One of these days I think I'm going to have to work on my woodworking skills :)
i like it ... space savin .... how long did it take for u to bulid it ?.....
I personally think it is badass when someone takes the time to make something like this (saves money) and it is convenient (space saving) and fits your needs. I love that americans just seem to make things work for themselves.

It took about 3 day to build by myself. I already had most of the wood leftover from the last cabinet I built. I think I only had to buy about $50 worth of new materials.

Excellent job! How much do you think it would cost (materials-wise) had you not had any leftovers?

It was probably about $250 in materials not including the dehumidifier. But keep in mind that the counter was already build and I just added the cabinet to the bottom of it.
Wow very cool! What materials did you use besides the top? Is that just your standard plywood? What size is your dehumidifier? I would love to be able to build one but have too much else to do. Trying to get my brother to build one for me.

Most of the wood is just 1/2" plywood, 2x4's and 1x2's. The duct tape in the one photo was just temporary until I sealed the edges with caulking.

Wish I could give you a blueprint or something but I just build these with measurements out of my head and don't write it down.

I forget the size of the dehumidifier. But it was one of the larger ones with a 3-4 gallon reservoir.

Thanks Nick! Good info. There are designs out there for a tall one. I have to admit, I really like yours - very practical especially in an area where you need to utilize all your space.
