Hi guys,

my friends and I are starting a clothing line project and we are really serious about it. But, we have few questions if you could help us out here. We live in the south shore and we will be starting by printing some t-shirts. We found a printer and we want to order Anvil t-shirts from a global wholesaler. But, we have few importants questions:
- The cost of the 100 t-shirts lot if 249$. How much will the border charges and all the other canadien fees will cost us?
- Does anyone know where to get hang tags done (it can be on internet, but preferably locally at a small cost please)?
- Does anyone know where to buy ziploc bags (it can be on internet, but preferably locally at a small cost please)?
- Does anyone know how to ship t-shirts to U.S.A. without having to pay a million dollars for shipping?
Thanks a lot or the help in advance

I sugest you to check to order your t-shirt directly with your printer. Most of us (screen printer) don't like when customer bring there own shirt and often we charge a penality, meaning your printing cost will be higher, for the fact you bring your t-shirt.

To tell you the true, the profit on printing t-shirt is not that good. But when we take the profit for the printing and a profit on the t-shirt it start to look better, it not the deal of the century but we make OK business. Most of time we have account with company like Anvil and can give a real good price and still making some money on the t-shirt. If the customer bring its own shirt and I print a bad one, now I have to replace the t-shirt find the same one etc etc, a real pain in the..., and bad print happen.

One of the most important thing in starting a t-shirt business is a good relationship with your printer, give I,m a call explain the situation and try to work something with him, only good can come out of this.

Hope it help a little

Also with the custom fee and shipping, getting your shirt from the state can quicly become as costy as buying them here
For Hang tag I suggest checking with chinesse company the price difference will be really huge

For Bag check out Uline, they may just sell to business

For Shipping I think Canadapost have some kind of flat rate if you cant fit your stock in a certain size and weitgh

Anvil is distributed by technosport in Montreal.

i suggest asking your printer what price he can get them for you as most print shops can get case price or better.
