I just got done doing a few runs on my prints so i know that white ink is always going to be thick. So im now doing my white tees on black ink. I opened up my new black ink and i notice it was really thick just like white ink. I remember buying ink last year and it wasnt thick like this. So i was wondering that new black ink that i bought.. you think it could have been an old batch of ink that was sitting for awhile? When it arrived i noticed that the lid was tapped up with clear tape all around. Now that i think of it... maybe some guy sold me some "new" old ink that was sitting around for a long time? oh i notice that before i printed.. that "new" gallon of black ink was tapped up with clear tape. I bought white and yellow ink from the same seller before and they never had clear tap on them.

i was wondering if this can solve my problem?

Hmmmm... i never used reducer before... can i buy that anywhere like walmart? My local screen printer that i go to told me i can even mix in a little bit of mineral spirit to thin it out a bit. and i did that but it seems like it is still thick.

curable reducer can be bought from your ink vendor. They should have one that will work well with your inks and cure at the same temp.
You don't want a 300F reducer added to 320F ink.

Personally I'd avoid mineral spirits period and especially mixing into plastisol ink.

And I'd get a second opinion on anything else your local screen printer tells you ;)

Geez, he didn't offer reducer to you? That would be the LAST thing I ever bought from them. PERIOD.

Find a reputable supplier for you screen supplies.

i been searching all over my city of Wichita and there is absolutely NON. My local screen printer get their supplies from a company that is located in Oklahoma (2hrs away) that makes trips to Wichita (2) times a week to im guessing most of the screen printers here. But yeah next time im just going to get my inks thru a good source like Ryonet.
