It seems with all of the printing I've been doing lately, the customer always wants more shirts than they initially ordered. And of course, it's after I've already placed my order for blanks. How do you all handle these situations?

If I have to order more shirts, typically they're small orders and I then have to pay shipping.

Thanks!

kind of sucks dont' it , charge teh shipping back to the customer , you bid for a certin amout of shirts and ordered them , there is no way you could stock enough shirts for orders like that. Check with your supplier and see if they will comp the shipping for you , sometimes they come through when you need it .

Chargeback. In my terms and conditions in states the invoice amount/price per shirt is based on the current quantities ordered. It further explains additional orders or add ons are subject to additional charges. If you have clear term and conditions most customers will just pay the additional or not add on. When you leave ambiguity it leads to problems.

I'll definitely have to add something like this. Thank you!

Trust me, I am! But I'm typically not prepared for it. I was laid off last fall and I can't really be ordering lots of extra shirts. It's just rough times, that's all.
I hear ya man. I used to front all the $ for orders and pay myself back when I got paid. But now it's always 50% up front on everything. People are almost always willing to oblige.
