We will be looking at the neoflex in Altanta. We have a brother gt-541 but are exploring white ink options. Would like some feedback from neoflex owners to gain some insight and see what questions we might want to ask when we get there.
1. are 20-30 dark shirts an hour realistic.
2. on a 12x12 design what kind if a white ink cost average would we be looking at
3. whats an average cost for pre treatment
4 is the pre treatment machine that AA sells good, or should i look into others such as the viper.
5. i know there is a learning curve when printing white ink but just what is involved artwise and with the machine.(running a brother we're spoiled).
6. in general how do you like your machine.are you glad you got are do you wish you had searched more.
thanks in advance for your input. i'm sure i'll come up with more questions before we head to Atlanta in a couple of weeks.

Re: Owners opinions needed

It's early days Brian but we're loving ours.
Hey Brian,

Did you get a neoflex? I just received mine... Im brand new to this. I havent even inked up the textile printer yet.
Hi
I have owned a neoflex for about a year now. We really like the machine and the staff at All American has helped us with any problems that we have had. If you need any specific questions about the machine- please feel free to ask. And how many dark shirts you can complete in an hour is based on how large the printing area is and how many you set up at the machine at a time. I normally set up the machine to only print one at a time so my turn around time per hour is less then if you set up two or three to print.
We have owned neoflex for about 9 mths now. Appx 10min/shirts for dark garments 11*15 print area.

.... and still loving it :D
Stitch I read the thread you started regarding brother 541 but ended up buying the neoflex. Can I ask you why you choose the neoflex over the brother 541. We recently went to the ISS Long Beach convention and the neoflex really caught our eyes over the brother and belquette. Without having to much print or DTG knowledge but by reading various posts, we are thinking about getting a neoflex.

thanks in advance,

Anthony, I remember speaking with you at the show in Long Beach. Your business card is an eye catcher. I will be in contact with you shortly with information about our NeoFlex system.

In the meantime gather as much information as you can on the forums everyone seems to be more than willing to share their experiences.
Good morning Anthony.

When I was researching which DTG printer to buy ALL brands were on my list. I then slowly reduced my list through reading, talking and visiting shows.

In short, I went for the Neoflex over the Brother because it printed dark shirts - I can print white shirts using Dye Sublimation quite easily. The Neoflex was by far the most versatile printer I researched:

  • It has a large printable area
  • You can print 3 shirts in one/two passes = increased prodduction = more profit.
  • The base remains still while printing, The printer moves over the shirts. This means whae the first is finished I can load the next while the printer continues to print = increased prodduction = more profit.
  • The Neosol option means I can swap from textile to solvent printing in just a few minutes, This opens up a much bigger market.
  • Closed circuit ink delivery system - I'm sure if you've read as much as I have read this forum you'll know this is the only way to go. Just read some of the horror stories on here of those using bulk ink systems.
  • The enthusiasm and support of the AA staff is excellent.
  • Money back guarantee - that's pretty much unique in the DTG marketplace.
  • And finally, have you seen the print quality of the shirts - it's amazingly vibrant and gives that WoW factor.
Just look at this - can you 'feel the heat'?

I have never owned a DTG printer before the Neoflex and this was a big investment for me. Six months on and I'm delighted I chose the Neoflex.

Regards

John

Thanks a bunch John! The guys from AA were really cool at the show and judging from reading the various posts through T-shirt forum the AA support is really great. I guess this really helps us with our decision and now me and my business partner have to work on the finance part. Two more questions for you Stitch, if you don't mind. First question, did you fly to the states for training. And what method do you use for pre-treatment? Like I stated above, I'm not too experienced in the whole print process and it seems like you have to "pre-treat" a dark garment in order for it to print correctly on a DTG.

Thanks in advance,
Anthony
Hello Anthony

Although the Neoflex was supplied with a Wagner sprayer, it was the wrong voltage for the UK so I purchased one of these:

Works just fine for pretreatment and cost about 50p :)

I spent a week with the guys from AA at FESPA in Munich. Their booth was remarkably busy throughout the show. We stayed 'til 10pm one evening to go through the maintenance but didn't do anything much on the software.

I spent many days learning the NeoRip software and just when I thought I was getting 'okay' with it - out comes NeoRip Pro a much more powerful Rip :D

I spent sometime in a 'remote control' session with one of the tech guys yesterday. JohnL (as he's known on the forum) installed the new HiRes ICC profiles for me and gave me a few tips. I'm waiting for him to contact me with a time & date for some thorough online training.

Cheers

John

We should give this bottle instead of Wagner Sprayer. Thx for the idea. Save me lots of money. Few thousand/month.

Just got my sample from JohnL over at AA/neoflex and I gotta say I'm pretty impressed! My artwork looks good on a white shirt and even better on a back shirt. Showed my business partner who has 10 years in the clothing business and he was super impressed that the design came from a DTG Printer. I thought I was gonna get a plain sample but you guys sent me 2 shirts that I am proud to wear. Now you guys got me thinking about looking into other blanks beside AAA and Cygnus. Thanks again for the samples John and I'm hoping we can do some business in the near future together! :D

Chuck a few pictures in Anthony, be great for others to see :)
Enjoy your shirts!!!!!
I want to see also. Please post it for us. I never saw it. For your interest ask other sellers same samples with same art. Doesn't cost you any. Who knows you will find better printer and better service.
Oh, black or dark shirts need help with printing white. Got it. But white or light colored shirts don't need the pretreatment right?
Anyone ???
Good morning KC
You are right. Do not have to but there is Light Color PT. If you use this print quality will be better.
95% of users are not using.
NeoFlex can be set up or add extra printer CYMK & CYMK = 2 sets in one printer. It will speed up much faster on light color shirts prinying. thank you
