Neoflex 4880 not printing but not moving forward

Hi im Nestor and i am new here in forum, i have a question, im having a problem with the neoflex 4880 printer that im using, it was printing, but the problem is it just print in one line and not moving forward, when i check the cables i found a cut cable looks like a female and male vga cable.., do you think its the cable causing the neoflex 4880 not to work properly? and what do you call that cable looks like vga but with male and femle ends.. hope you can help me guys...
