I'm starting to realize that my current product offering versus equipment is getting away from me. Currently we sell about 700 different text designs online. On an average day we see about 50-60 shirt orders(all different designs). Around Christmas time it is usually four times that so we might be looking at 200 - 240 per day.

My current equipment is 3 - TJet 2's and 3 heat presses. This usually handles the load and the printers are maintained daily in a climate controlled room, no issues there. We usually print 20 shirts per day per printer and we end up changing heads once every 3 months or so.

To handle the Christmas load I'm thinking of expanding, however Shannon from American screen and others have expressed the worry of parts not being readily available for the epson 2200 based printers for much longer..Which begs the question: What way should we go for this much production without spending a small fortune? Just curious on the forums thoughts.

After switching to the Belquette bagged ink, we have been running on the same print heads since 09' with the exception of one of our machines that dried out when we moved from old shop to new shop, also we replaced a perfectly good head when troubleshooting a bad motor problem that was causing pausing in between head passes.

That should help you keep your machines around for awhile longer until you decide on an upgrade.
