I need a t-shirt printing company that can print by the order and drop ship full color t-shirts that have a design that covers the entire shirt front and back like this:

I want to setup a shop on my website or yours (similar to what cafepress does) where a user can order a shirt and then have it printed on demand and drop shipped to them. I don't want to carry inventory.

But, cafepress prints by DTG and doesn't have a printer capable of covering the entire shirt.

Why do you say that?
Because full color printing is costly as well as all over printing. That's why "dptk" said they would be at a minimum of 300pcs. There is no dtg printer capable of doing an all over print on a black t front and back at a reasonable cost. And there's practically none large enough to do it, (granted there are some, but they aren't widespread). A dtg printed shirt on dark of that size would probably cost you $50 - $75 easily. That's why screen printing is the preferred method. That being said, setup alone would probably run you a minimum of $300 - $500, for full color 2 sided all over printing.

Mostly because to do that with screenprinting, is going to carry with it huge setup fees and unless you guarantee a quantity by paying up front, not many printers would print that shirt piece by piece when orders come in.

Unless I m mistaking what you are asking for. I print a bunch of my own, and can print on demand for my own stuff as shows come up. But most printers won t take on something with that much work required without a massive quantity.

And what Jerid said lol

Anastasia, for what you're trying to do a good option maybe sublimation. the cost /unit is much greater but with small quantities it makes the job feasible. You will be limited to no cotton garments but sublimation could be a good option for you.
I agree, there's quite a few more companies that do sublimation of this size because of the cost factor.

Thank you so much for the info and advice. Do you know of any companies that would do sublimation full front and back and drop ship?

The colors in sublimation printing are more vibrant too aren't they? Does it make the fabric tough?

Would sublimation work on polyester? or polyester/cotton blend?

sublimation is made for poly and poly blend fabrics, the process gives you a 0 hand feel, the colors basically bond with the fabric. This process tends to give very bright and saturated colors when done correctly.
There's a company that is a member of this site that does very nice work, i will look for the post by them that i read.
having trouble finding it, there was a post of a shirt some one had made with a giant picture of Wayne Brady on a bill. the whole shirt, front and back, was dye sub.
