Hello!

I have read a lot of bad reviews regarding the Anajet here, especially when you buy used, but I will have a chance to check everything prior to buying so I really need some advice here.

Please tell me what exactly should I check to determine that the printer is in good condition?

Thank you

you say you have read all the bad reviews AND you still want to buy. Might work now but how about next month?
It might look stupid, but as a rule you can see around only bad reviews, because if everything works fine then nobody have a reason to write something, and as I understand clogging happens to every dtg so I won't judge this particular dtg only because of that issue. The main reason why I'm going after it is that I don't have £13k for a new printer of another brand and in the UK you can't really find any used and "seems to be good" equipment for sale, because the market is not that big as in US.

Thank you

Oh boy a76 am I going to help you. I bought a used AnaJet Sprint back in October from the original owner. They took very good care of it. Coming from a professional photographic background and using many ink jet printers to print photographs, I was not completely "green" to the technology but I have had a challenging learning curve. By two months I felt pretty good about using the printer and staying on top of the maintenance. I'm in Santa Fe, NM so the humidity thing is challenging while using white ink. If you never printed using white, the printer is much easier to use. I liked your response to one of the posts regarding reading negative reviews and still being open to buying a Sprint. That's a good assessment because when we read bad reviews we don't really know what the user is doing and how they are treating the printer. If they aren't staying on top of the maintenance you can definitely count on negative reviews. Let me be right up front. Overall I think they are good printers but (and probably with all dtg printers) you must take care of them and keep on top of the maintenance. I don't care what anyone says and I'm a meticulous person, it's time consuming to keep this printer working. When it is working, it's good. The quality of imagines it produces is good. I paid in the ballpark of what you are considering but with what I know now, I wouldn't pay over $6K for one. If I had $20K, I'd probably look into the Polyprint machine, European and they seem to get it from a users point of view. The RIP that comes with the Sprint is very crude. I have found the tech support to be poor and most questions I've asked or needed help with are referred to AnaJet. Of course buying used, you will have no support from AnaJet unless you pay a crazy amount of money for one year support. Believe me, I looked into this and spoke directly with AnaJet. For $6K it's a good way to get into the business and start printing. It's certainly much less than a new printer. If I can help at all, don't underestimate the maintenance, keeping the humidity in check and oh yeah learning how to pretreat. I hope I've been of help. If you want to chat directly my email address is [email protected]. I hope it's ok to give out email addresses.

Uh, thank you for such informative advice, I really appreciate it.

We have started our small business a year ago by using inkjet and transfer papers, recently have started using the cutter and vinyl and now it's time to dive into the DTG world, but we really don't want to spend more than $6.5k for equipment at the moment, because we plan to gain enough capital in order to be able to make big changes related to our business and we want to earn these money with that particular DTG.

Thank you for your e-mail, we will definitely need some help when will be setting up the printer and printing our first shirts.

Cheers
