Need some help. I cannot get this design to work so i can cut with a cutter

HELLO I have attached so you can see what im talking about. it looked simple until i transfered it to my cutter than all the lines where crossing each other. is there any way i can get it they way it look in black

I tried to trace it and nothing and i tried to weld it together and it makes i all solid i need the white in between the tails

hope this makes sense.

You need to intersect the bottom shadow lines and remove all the other nodes, how did you end up with what you are working with?

You should be able to convert that jpg to bmp and trace with no issues, confused with how you gotta where you are now?

i already had that in a sports file i have.

I am sure the help is appreciated, however, he will be better off in the long run if you teach him how.....

You can just cut each one and layer them or you can highlight all of them and use arrange->shaping->simplify.
