Hi guys, I might have an order for 30 of my shirts and I will be sending them to New York. How do I figure out how much to charge the customer? She is going to provide me with her address and zip. Would this be all I need from her (silly question of course it would be). Anyhow, I need your help.
Thanks,

One t-shirt generally ways about .5 pounds, sometimes less, sometimes more (depending on size, style, cotton ounce weight, etc).

So, to ballpark, 30 t-shirts would weigh roughly 15 pounds, plus the packaging would weigh no more than a pound or so. So to be safe, I would go to ups.com, usps.com or redroller.com and use her zip code and a weight of about 18 pounds to get different shipping options.

So when shirts say "5.4oz", that's not the weight of the shirt, but the weight of the material in a square yard -- or so?

If .5 is an average shirt, couldn't you just bump it to .60, and use it as a multiplier from here on out.

ex: .60(30) = 18 pounds.

That will cover your costs of packaging as well. Just a thought!
