Check your local community college and/or chamber of commerce and see if they have any graphic design courses (as adult education if through your CoC). Really hold out for the community college one though, the few tech courses I took through the county were some of the worst things ever. You don't need a degree, but at least one semester of Photoshop and Illustrator will help you immensely. If you're doing photos on shirts, a digital photography class will also help.
This will all depend on how the local community college is structured. The one in my county had 2 semesters each of Photoshop and Illustrator with those titles. The one the next county over had oddly labeled courses like "Graphic Illustration I, II, and III" and "Computer Design I and II" with zero indication in the coursebook of what the heck they were about.
