I have had my EquipmentZone Speed Treater for 2 1/2 years and it works as good now as the day it was new. I do however clean it meticulously after every print day's use.

Need new Pre-treat machine - need a Lawson zoom?
This topic seems pretty out of date on here so I'm re-starting it.
We have been having huge struggles with the Lawson zoom XL and think we're ready to throw in the towel and spend money for the best one available (less than $5,000 and hopefully MUCH LESS)
1) recommendations from someone who has high-use experience with theirs? And hopefully, experience with others to compare to?
2) Does Lawson or anyone else take trade-ins for credit?

Have you ever opened yours up and cleaned the inside?
I have to agree, our 3 year old Speed Treater performs the same as the day we got it.

Yes we clean it pretty often. So far i've heard great things about the speed treater so I guess that may be the winner!

Our first Lawson pre treater lasted between 5 and 6 years. We used it 7 days a week with only about 10 days off per year. We replaced with a zoom AE and it is just as good if not better than our earlier model. It does not require compressed air. We also were able to eliminate the canisters and place the tube that draws treatment directly into our 5 gallon container of pre treatment.
