need help separating image

ok so i have this image but i need some help i am new to inkscape just got it last night.

what i need help with is taking motor off this and then help tweaking it to look good to be printed on a shirt.

i also need help figuring out how to trace with this program. keep in mind this is my first time ever using any good programs.
so go easy on me.

Hello, I traced it with Illustrator, maybe it's something for you to work with.

thanks for the help but i should have explained it better i want the motor and to delete the rest. thank though that exactly what i wanted just the other way around.

you could easy do it in photoshop, remember that quick trace has to be fixed

wish i had Photoshop i don't even know how to use Photoshop. but i do have Inkscape so any help would be great

I have it photoshop'd. PS is a must program along with Corel and Illustrator.

Here it is. If you have AI or corel, just import the PS file and play around with it. It is already a vector.
