Hi People,

I saw a mighty press in my craigslist ! I want to thank all of you for training me to spot the good deals :) Only thing is the model that is up for sale has this black hose that connects from the main electrical box to the flat top of the press. Hope you can tell me when that model was made.

Also what should I do to check it out properly? He is like 1 mile away from me and is selling it for an amazing price and he say's it's in good working condition.

Thanks for your time,

Tony

I don't think anyone can ID a press with such a skimpy description...maybe with a photo.....but IF the unit works ad price is right..could be okay.. Personally I prefer a digital timer and temp. If this s a manual press setting the temp is sort of a guessing game

Hi, I just emailed hotronix the link and they told me it was the MPD and that they have replacement parts for that model. He is offering 350.00 Or Best Offer !

I seen some on ebay sell for 222.00 and another has a bid of 175.00 .. You think I should tell him about these prices and then ask to pay him 140.00 ?

Thanks for your time..

I didn't put the link up because I live close by you and I don't want your California Peep's to get in on my opportunity lol.. Joking

Hi Charles,

I called him up and he will only go down to 300.00. He said he only used it one time on 30 shirts and it's new. I asked him when did he purchase it and he kind of hesitated and said 1 year ago. But The model looks older. It's blue and has that black tube that holds electrical wire but it runs from the box to the top of the clam shell (top part). Sorry i am a newbie What do you think, Is it an older model?

Before I paid that kind of money for an old press, I would by a Chinese press from either sunie.com or heatpressvinyl.com or proword.com. All are digital temp/time
Thanks Charles,

I replied to another thread about your supporting heat Press Vinyl over Heat press Nation.

So I guess it's Vesta over HPN and Gecko ... Your reasoning much appreciated.
