I use re-fillable cartridges for my Epson and I re-fill them with dye ink. The darkness of your films will depend on your settings if you don't use rip software.

ok cool do you know where I can get a good dye ink and good price...and I do have accurip and my prints dont ever come out really dark i usually have to triple or double films.
You can find it on eBay..plus you can make your printer have all black ink. Double and triple films is a waste of your money. I don't use rip software so I set my printer setting to photo glossy paper. And I get very dark films.

Yeuh I know and I'm using a Mac I tried to find that glossy paper setting and couldn't
I am also using a Mac .. After you hit print you can change your settings
Paper handling under print settings.

In photoshop cs5? I use that mostly I was told illustrator is better
i used Vicsign inkjet printers with pigment ink, and it seems that pigment ink is better

ok do you know why?? ive used blackmax ink before and then some hp pigment ink now I don't know what to get confused much!
you really shouldnt put dye ink in a pigment printer and vice versa. figure out what your printer takes and buy ink accordingly. I use an epson 1400 - uses dye ink. I buy liters of jetblack, which is a black dye (& they have pigment avail. too) ink i got from AST (preferred vendor on the left) jetblack is like fastmax or whatever other inks are out there for positives - it blocks UV. i use refillable cartridges with no rip - i make halftones in photoshop and set printer settings to the highest quality setting. has always worked flawlessly for me, and is much more economical than buying ink carts

it really isnt an issue of dye vs pigment - only what your printer takes. both will produce good films. if youre using a mac yes even in cs5 go into print settings / page layout / whatever other button you have and find the print settings. use photo or glossy or whatever looks the highest quality and prints out most ink - or - go into driver settings and adjust each setting individually and save yourself a preset.
Cobra ink works well and they have great support
i would like to ask what kind of film is recommended for silkscreen using Epson t1100(pigment ink) is tracing paper okay or do you have any other film recommended?

please pm me thanks.
