We just got a sp540 v, and need to make a 8x4 feet decal. We are just learning to print on this machine. Weve printed a ton of decals and signs with it including posters, but nothing this huge.

I used corel draw to creat the image, and turned the image into a bitmap.

I exported the image as an eps. with the dimensions i need.(4x8)

When i import it to versaworks it says its corrupted about halfway when its being imorted. Im guessing the file is to large.

And at the same time i think that if a make it smaller i feel like its going to loose alot of resolution when i tell versawoks to print it to the size i need.

So what do i need to do to make this large decal or sign?

If the image was vector why change to bitmap? Vector is a much smaller file and sizes without distortion. As far as corruption try making the file small, art work smaller then export to eps. Import into versaworks and resize. Also sometimes things such as using an tiff file vs eps may work. But odds are the corruption is due to file size.
