I am trying to create a logo that could be embroidered very small. Similar to a Ralph Lauren polo.

Does anyone have experience at what would embroider well at that size that can point me in a good direction of what logo to get made before I invest more money.

Attached are ideas, the first I tried to get embroidered but is too detailed and came out bad.

First, you should realize that embroidery isn't like printing business cards. You are creating a design with a needle and thread and sometimes small, detailed logos aren't possible no matter what you do. I've turned away many requests for similar projects because I know the client wouldn't be happy with the detail at the size they want.

If you are trying to create a brand have a look at what the major corporations are doing. All very simple, clean, often one color, easy to recognize logos.

The logo in your link is good looking but will (best guess) need to be at least 2" high to maintain the detail. Any smaller and you will have an unidentifiable blob.

I agree with red. A good solid logo will take the smaller size better too. If you have a lot of small open area it will just fill in and look awful. The burning man type logo that is mostly thick line might work. And the one that is black that is next to the other one (#2?) would too. The Kettle ball thing may not be exactly right, but that could be tweaked. There is also the option of going with a thinner needle and lower weight thread, but then you're going into specialty items and it will cost you.
