I had previously posted a request on info regarding Coreldraw X4. I loaded it on a new computer and now when I go to open a file or clipart I do not get a picture in the Coreldraw preview window. I did have a preview on my older computer. Now when I click on a file it gives me a message " no preveiw". This is even on Coreldraw documents.
Some one responded to my first post and advised me to go to the upper right hand and click on other options. This only deals with the icons or information on dealing with the file.

Since I only received one response maybe I need to go to a Coreldraw forum. Does anyone know a good Coreldraw forum that I might get some help. I hate having to open a file only to find out it is not the one I want to open. I am sure it is only a setting that is messed up but so far I cannot seem to get it resolved.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

on your documents (pics) page You should be able to right click in the small space between two files and get options (sort, size etc.) and one of them should be show preview or you can click on the view tab and get options.

I hope this helps.

Tried your suggestion but it does not open a preview in the preview window. I am trying to open a preview of the actual graphic file in the preview window not the size of the icon or the listing of the name of the file. Hope that make sense. THANKS!

Hi Mtview:

Thanks for the link and info. However, I did go to the link and followed the directions. However, When I went into CorelDraw X4 and went to Tools, there was no listing for Folder Options. Not sure if I am doing it correctly or not. I have attached a screen shot of what I am getting when I go to open a coreldraw file. You might look at it and see if I have something selected or not. Also could it be that since they may have been created in X3 they are not allowing a preview of the file. But I should be able to clip are that I go to open. I am ready to pull what little hair I have out trying to figure this out. Any additional help will be appreciated. THANKS!

The technique in the link goes through the Folder Options in Windows Explorer and not Corel Draw. What operating system do you have on your computer now? Seems like when I was using X4 on Win 7 I had the same problem and never solved it until going to X5.

Mtview:

I have Windows 7 pro. Maybe that is the problem. I will try the folder option in Windows Explore and see if that does anything. I really don't want to have to upgrade to X6 but maybe I will have to break down and do it. I am comfortable with X4 and it does what I need to do and I hate to keep upgrading when I really don't have to if possible. THANKS!
