Hey there I just inherited an old Riley Hopkins 4 color one station press and have no idea why my screen won't touch the platen, I think I'd need to remove the platen but the twist handle on the bottom won't budge

Any ideas? It might be rusty?

How much distance is there between the screen and the platen? It might just be set for off-contact, which is a good thing. Take a picture and post then we can provide better ideas of what the problem may be if any. With regard to the rust, try a little wd-40, it works wonders.

the thing is, the print head isnt even touching the registration chamber
