I am new to screen printing and I just purchased a epson 1400 with the accuRIP program. I drew up a poppy on illustrator which is my logo and I wanted to be able to separate the colors on the pedals which are a gradient that go from orange to yellow, so that I can print and burn it on to screens. I can send you the file and if someone could look at it and help me figure this out I would GREATLY appreciate it. THank you

when designing in Illustrator for screen printing , it is very important to use Pantone colors. this will make it very easy to print out separations onto film positives.so for the 2 colors you want to use...just select the part of the image that should be yellow and find the pantone yellow and select it...do the same for the part that should be orange.

then when you go to the print dialog , unselect the cmyk and select the 2 pantone colors to print.
