I am creating a new underground street brand, I know there is alot out there. What steps shall I take to spread the word , I am almost done with my website. I have my products line up, Shall I start locally in my community, write to fashion magazines, I know a few clubs in town is that a good place to advertise your clothing line. I want to create buzz and have people start talking about my brand. Any ideas will be appreciated !

I think the mystique of being an underground brand is to take a more unconventional approach. Fashion magazines, websites, etc, are a little too mainstream and almost defeat the purpose of being underground. Start by selling your brand at events, clubs, concerts, etc. Be very exclusive and be in front of your audience. Make them feel like they are getting something that no one else knows about and cannot easily find. Make sure your marketing approach falls in line with your intended branding and persona.
