Need help cutting Stahls Thermo-Flock: Know of any tips or tricks?

Is anyone with a GX-24 getting a good cut on the Stahls Thermo-Flock using a REGULAR 60 degree (or 45 degree) blade? If so, would you be so kind as to share your settings, tips, tricks, etc.

I have an older roll of flock (not the new "fashion flock) from Imprintables Warehouse that I use a 60 degree blade with and it cuts like a dream.

Ran to my local supplier to get material for a small order. They carry Stahls Thermo-Flock, so that's what I got. This stuff just won't cut right. The blade skips along, basically making a perf-cut that just doesn't weed cleanly.

The Stahls instruction sheet that came with the material doesn't list any settings for GX-24. The instruction sheet online from Stahls website says I need to buy their "flock blade". That's another $22 on top of the $10+ per yard price for the vinyl. I really don't want to start stocking blades for use on only one product.

I've tried adjusting force, blade exposure, speed. Some settings are better than others, but none are acceptable so far. Since I can cut the IW flock perfectly, I know the blade is good.

Any suggestions???

This is all I could find in my box of bits and pieces. :)
I have had this for a few years, so it may be what you are looking for.
Hope it helps.

Have you tried different offset settings?

We recommend .475 for Thermo Flock on the Roland GX-24.
We use the Stahls flock with our GX24 and use the 60 degree blade, increase the force.
The flock does dull the blade quickly. We have found that the new blades cut without a problem and no special settings.
I cut at the slowest speed possible, it still skips sometimes but it usually comes out well. The flock blade helps, and honestly if you cant spend 20 bucks on a flock blade for your business dont bother offering it.

Hi Nick, when/where to you adjust the offset. Is it in your cutting program or with the plotter menu controls (Roland Camm1Pro).
Thanks!

Figured it out... haven't messed with the setting since I got it a few years ago

So this is probably a pretty wacky set-up but it is cutting smooth and weeding like butter(Roland GX300):
Blade: 45° (don't have a 60° on hand)
Offset .125
Force: 140
Speed: 10 (Pretty slow)
Double pass (Seemed to skip/pick up corners when the force was too high. So the lower force with the double pass fixed that problem.)

The artwork is somewhat detailed, I'll try and post a pic of the hoodie when they are finished.
