What do you think of my site and designs?

I'd appreciate reviews on my site and designs which are geared towards a different audience than most of the sites I've seen here. I'm targeting Baby Boomers, those born between 1946 and 1964, hence the name Forever Cool 4664. That makes the target those who are currently 46 to 64 years old and aging fast!
Thanks in advance for your input.

Good Idea, niche markets are a way to go, I would add variety, put bigger pictures of your stock, limit display of the same items, in other words dont need a picture of each design in ever color, clogs up the real estate, and lose the 8 responses to the store, it can appear somewhere but not on each page.

Good luck

Nice clever niche site. I would also go with larger photos of the items and I would not put the front and back image of the shirt on the same photo. include a image for each. Also maybe add a color key under the image to let the customer know what colors that design is available in instead of loading the same design in every color.

Good luck!

Awesomness...I love nostalgia :)

Just my 2 cents...

So far you have a good start and your copy is pretty interesting to read. I would remove the "Sorry NO More Free Decals" from the menu buttons. Subconsciously putting a "NO" upfront in a customer's face is a bit of a turn off. Just change the button to "DECALS" or whatever you prefer and then inform them once they reach the page that you are no longer offering the decals free due to the overwhelming response.

Your idea is all about branding (any idea really) it would benefit you to get someone to make you a professional logo. I am a graphic designer and do logos as well. Message me if you are interested. Check out my site link located in my siggy. My designs are also vintage/nostalgia.

Good luck :)

Toots Babe, thanks for the very good suggestions. I (an unprofessional) designed the logo to denote the nostalgic cursive handwriting and the old fountain pen, which I thought came out true to what I had in mind. But I guess a professional hand might step it up a bit.Love your site - a true nostalgic feel to it.

I'm a huge fan of blogs and I like stores that sell t-shirts, but I'm not really fond of blogs that try to be stores as well. I've yet to see if done in a way that I think works well.

You have a nice looking blog and I love the nostalgia stuff. You write well about the time and the era and it's a fun site. Where I think you're lagging a bit is in selling your product. That's where an actual store would help you. It would make it easier for you to have better pictures with more sizing options, it would allow you to add color swatches for your products, it would eliminate the comments on the bottom of the pages, which are great for a blog, but more distracting for a store.

I think the ideas for the products are great and the idea for the store itself are great, and I applaud the idea of having a blog, I just think you may want to look at other options for the store portion.

Thanks for your critique - I appreciate it. I can easily get rid of the blogs at the bottom section of the store. And I agree that more emphasis needs to be placed on the store (if I, indeed, understood your comment), but I'm not following your suggestion about an "actual store" and "looking at other options for the store portion." Can you give me some more specific direction here? Thanks again.
