Hi Everyone,

I'm just starting out at Screen Printing and i'm looking to produce just simple tees with text across the chest area and was wondering what Screen mesh count would best for the job,
The text size would be around 2" and printed with white or grey ink on Black tees .

Any advice would be much appreciated

For simple applications like that, I use 86 or 110. If you start to use black ink, bump up the thread count.

You will find people use 110 to 230 and higher. I personally would use 156 to 196 range.

i tend to only use 110 for underbases, 230s for practically everything, 305s for process.

230s give great detail, very sharp edges and u can produce some nice halftone prints with em too.

but for the job described anything suggested here will do
