I bought the expert 24 cutter in October 2016. The last 2 months it's been acting up. Starting a job and then stopping and I would lose all that vinyl. At first it was just every once in awhile and then it became every other job. I bought a new board and had it installed last week. It seemed to be working better and then after a day it stopped working all together. First it was stopping mid job. Then it wouldn't cut at all. So now I have to decide if I want to try and fix this cutter or buy new. If I buy new do I want another one in the same price range as the Expert 24 or go to the next level? Any recommendations?

If you want to move up to a higher end plotter.
I recommend Graphtec, they have never let us down.
Roland and Summa are also great brands.

We bought a Roland GX24 in 2008, the last couple of months it started doing the same thing, randomly not cutting pieces of the design. Just bought a new GS24, I figure we more than got our money out of the previous one. The other question is what program do you have all your cut files in? In our case, everything is in cutstudio and I didn't want to have to recreate everything so we stayed with Roland.
