im new to the vinyl cutting game so i dont really know what im at lol

ive got a roland camm cx24 here, somehow i DID manage to get it to cut out a shape i sent to it from flexisign yesterday but since then i dont know what im doing differently, but when i ask it to cut again it just whirrs across and back again and shoots vinyl forward and back a little...

can anyone suggest what i might be doing wrong??

i feel like tearing what little hair i have, out!!

My guess would be that you are trying to cut something that's rasterized and not vectorized. Raster images are defined by pixels and colors. Vector images are composed of shapes that have fills and outlines associated with them. The cutter needs a vector so that it knows how to cut, as it has no idea how to cut a raster image since raster images are always square and complex to distinguish any shapes out of (vector programs utilize a "trace" to attempt to vectorize a raster photo).

ahaaa i fixed it! it was because i was moving teh image around in the screen for the print/cut preview!

now i need to figure out why my press isnt getting very hot LOL

things are never easy, but i like a challenge :D



edit : figured it out.. i love it when you buy things from someone that doesnt have the manual hahaha
