Here is my beef with ladies tees. Why do they have to have their own color scheme? Most shirts have a maroon color. For women's shirts, they have currant, plum, rasberry, blah blah blah, and blah blah blah.
I decide to order a few colors from S&S to see what came closest to the Gildan maroon. I received a Bella shirt that is pretty nice as a maroon color. I ordered cardinal and currant. The order confirmation I received shows the color currant ordered but the packing slip inside the box shows the plum color was shipped. I ask myself, and S&S, which is correct. I need to order a lot of shirts but what do I order, currant or plum. I look in the catalog and see that currant is almost dead on maroon. Great. I'll order currant.
Not so fast! I then find out that the color codes are mixed up internally in their system and probably the catalog. What shows as plum in the catalog is really currant and what is labeled currant is really plum. WTF! Call something maroon, if it's maroon. Now I'm going to stop at the grocery store to grab a plum and go over to find a jar of currant to see what's what. I'll probably find that plums are out of season. lol! Would you women not buy a shirt that was the color maroon? is Plum, currant, raspberry that much more appealing?
I'm now going to try and scan the shirt that I have, that i like, and send it to the customer service person I've been spending way to much time with, to see what color I received. I wonder if I would get an answer if I went onto the Bella site and asked someone there?
