hi. i'd like to produce a multiple color print. i understand most aspects of the process, aside from separating the different portions of the image.
do you use photoshop to separate portions?
print the entire image on transparency, then cut, burn into the screen and align when printing?

what have you found to be the easiest way? thanks.

... i don't have a 4-color press, by the way.

Yes, you basically have it right.

1. Separate in your software program.

2. Print each color on a separate transparency.

3. Burn each color to its own screen, taking time to line up each of the transparencies in the same location on each screen using a ruler (this will make it much easier to align on the press).

4. Buy a press that will accommodate the number of colors you will be printing
