Hi!
Looking for a bit of direction,
My husband and I want to print on VINTAGE mugs.
We have a sublimation set up, but have read many negative things about using the poly coating ourselves.
We have heard of waterslide decals but are unclear of whether this would be a suitable method (ie dishwasher safe, safe for using on something you put to your mouth. Etc)
Any recommendations on what methods would work the best?
Thanks in advance!!

The DIY coating hasn't been too nice with some but may work for you. It's a possibility if you wanted to give it a shot. Waterslide decals will NEED to be fired in a kiln before it becomes suitable for the dishwasher. If not, it will need to be gently handwashed ONLY (not the image) and even then it can eventually fade. Both methods are suitable for drinking out of.
