I am positive I saw this on the forum somewhere, where someone had said they did coffee mugs using an inkjet printer and transfer paper and had good results???

I didn't bookmark it and I have gone over this forum using several different search phrases for days trying to find it again and can't. Does anyone know where on this forum that was discussed ... or am I just hallucinating???

Hi Belinda. The method is called sublimation. You will find a whole category dedicated to sublimation topics on this forum.

You will need a dedicated printer filled with sublimation ink, which is very expensive. Sublimation transfer paper and a mug press.

There are also laser transfers available for mugs, although I seem to recall reading some negative things about them. I know they need a glazing treatment post transfer in order to retain durability, unlike sublimation which just requires a sublimatable coated mug.
