Hi, just visited Anajets website and see they have a new "troubleshooting document" for Poly Primer for printing onto Polyester shirts. Has anyone used or got any more info on this? Seems like they have just snuck it in but not announced it. (guess they have got other things to worry about at the moment).

Hi Alan,
I'm having a tutorial made for how this works. We also have plans to get some literature and brochures made up, but the techs are aware if you need detailed instructions on its use. It works great for blends and 100% poly garments if you want to use the standard ink.
Hope this helps!

I just bought the poly primer as well an will be soon make test shirts.

Karl I was really surprise at the size and price of it. At first is was like what the hell. Then I saw that you mix it. Still seems steep. But if it works that great. How long once you mix it will it last because just doing a few test shirts and not using it for a few weeks might be a waste of money for me.

I haven't had a chance to use it because my printer white ink print head got clogged because I was waiting on Anajet techs figure out what the issue was and I was unable to print for a couple of weeks.
Unable to print for a couple weeks waiting on Techs ????
Seriously !
If that happens to us, we would be done! Couple of Days would be bad.
couple weeks simply Can not happen.
Called a Loaner.
Car is in Garage, you get a loaner, you pay the gas...
wow.. not good at all.. plain scary..

Why would you not get a loaner or a quicker fix ? Or is warranty up ?

I do this as a side business and just thinking about making it full time. I got the printer in February. So it's covered. And yes a loaner would be nice and i know that they would give me one but for me it's not needed at this point. So I didn't ask.

Well , that does explain it a bit better.. (not to make Ana look bad)

If we have customers turned away for weeks ? We would be done.
We have orders "almost" every day.. #1 we need Reliability !

For me my printer has be reliable but I left it sit for a few weeks because I was out of town. The more you run the printers on a daily basis and clean the printer before and after you won't have that many issues with it. But we as Anajet customers need to take care of our equipment as you would with a new car. Do you buy a car and never wash it or put gas in it. If you let it sit like I had to then expect to have issues. I take responsibility for letting it set. As for the parts not working. And getting new parts under warranty that's to be expected. And totally understand your point with some of you need a loaner printer. As for me I just told my regular customers what was going on and they understand and are patient with me. And for me this is the first issue I have had with it. So for me this is my 3000 mile oil change. Lol

Deana it was great to meet you as well. I had fun why I was there. Everytime I go to Anajet you guys always treat me well and so friendly to take time and chat. Most companies don't take the time to get to know you. It was also good to finally meet Krystal in person as well as vinny. Hopefully I will see you guys in a few days when I pick up the printer. I need to pick Tim's brain some more.

My gosh, we are way too busy to have it sit 4 days, let alone for weeks.
Hard to tell when their is reported problems if it is due to machine being defective, or owners not doing what they should.
Yes like miss treating a car or any equipment, and then complaining.. I own a farm, I know about neglected equipment failing$ and well maintained gear running smooth. Funny how I sometimes grease the old stuff more than the brand new $ stuff.
Like i expect it to look after itself because it was new and expensive.

I guess I am looking to see if Ana users feel overall that the Mpower is reliable, straight forward piece of equipment to use, that yields consistant results.

banding, pooling, bad chip readers, software crashes etc.. are the rare issue?
and I just read about them because their is just so many Mpower users out there.

i can say it is the only printer that was on our list that is avail to ship today. The rest are weeks to months away from after deposit is made.

Well Steve, what I love about Anajet is that they are made in the us and California. They also use environmental water base inks and pretreat. All the parts they use are from the US. So their is no waiting for shipments from over seas. Also every time I have gone to Anajet 3 times now everyone I have met have been friendly and very helpful. I even got to met people that you usually never see like Krystal takes orders over the phone. And Vinny tech support. Also if you do go with Anajet if you can swing it get the mpower 10. Yes it's faster but you also have print heads for each color so you shouldn't have color bleeding issues. I also suggest that you take Anajet up on their free training. They teach you all about your printer and also how to clean and maintain your printer. You also get to ask stupid questions like I did. You also get hands on with the printer and you can print up shirts. You also get a better understanding on how the anarip works. Also the trainers Paul and Tim know their stuff their like the Godfathers of the mpowers. Lol. One thing I did before I bought the printer I asked if I can see how the printer works and knew what the limitations were before we bought it. I even asked for a tour of the place and got to see the factory part of Anajet. Very cool. So am I satisfied with the mpower 5 yes do I think that Anajet has good support yes.

Also just a note with the new rip software update to 2.0. You have way more color control. You get an estimate of how much ink you use for each job. Also they add multiple screen view and I got to tell you it is awesome that you can see the regular view the white under base view and the new true view all at the same time. True view lets you see how your art work will look like on the garment it's pretty realistic. I would calibrate your monitor to and actual printed shirt to make it even better.

What sold me on Anajet was that when I called them with in two days I had samples and info that I can see and touch. When I called other places only one other company sent me product and it did not even compare to the mpower. Funny later I found out they bought all the old stock of Anajet first printer. Lol

So I will say do you research and call ask to see the product. Look for conventions in your area. There is a iss show in Vegas in August. If you can check it out. I'm going just to see what other products I want in the future. Plus it's Vegas. .

That sounds like a really good feature.
also, the insoft ecommerce they offfer is pretty big?

So, How has your maintenance been ?
I see so many videos of epson based cleaning tutorials, but nothing on machines like Anajet or Brother?
the daily ?
The Mpower uses different ink than the sprint, supposed to be thinner and flow better.
Have you had humidity issue, or special humidifier installed ?

oh.. and how have you found trying to get nice detailed res prints ?
Does the rip help and do a good job with that ??

the inksoft ecommerce they offfer is pretty big? Yeah from what I understand it's pretty good. I didn't use it because why pay someone money for what I can do.

The maintenance takes only a few minutes to do and I clean the print heads before and after I print to make it easy for the next day. Issue I run into is getting a solid nozzle check some times you have to run level one cleanings a few times. But othe then that it a cake walk. But there is a daily, weekly, monthly that they suggest you do. For me depending on the run of shirts I have to do that week. I will sometimes do the weekly maintenance twice during the week. Hopefully you can see some of the videos on how to clean from this link.

If not Anajet should be able to send you a working link.

When I went to Anajet I looked at what humidifier they used and just bought one like it. I haven't had a real issue with humidity because I have it in a small office. And I keep the door shut all the time.

This was the one I got

well what Anajet told me was find the biggest image you can. Basically google image tab and advance settings then look for larger images. And if you know photoshop use it to adjust the photo to where you want it. Then import it in to anarip and adjust if needed.

What I use is illustrator and I create my own designs. Other things I do is buy royalty free vectors and adjust them to my needs. I also use the cmyk colors and then when I save the file as a png it gets converted to RGB. Once i import it into anarip I adjust the colors, white under base. But for the most part I'm pretty right on with my colors.

The new rip update has many new features and has way more control over the white under base. So you can get better color control on dark garments.

The rip soft also has key color out option. So if there is a solid background like say green and you want to take that color out the rip can do it with no problem. There other features as well and does a decent job. But photoshop will always be better at it.

Well there isn't any reason you should have to flush the lines in general. the only time you would have to flush the lines is if you are going to store the printer for a long period of time. Or if you need to pack it up and ship it to Anajet. And to flush the lines is easy as go to the maintenance menu and click the Start up fill and then click the purge lines. There is a cleaning solution cartridges that you would us to clean the lines as you purge the ink out.

There is a ink waste tank that needs to be drain i do it weekly or as needed the process is very easy.
i will see if I can attach a pdf files for it. if not pm me your email and i will email them to you.

also they refer to the anajet sprint printer but the process is the same.

Over all the maintenance on the mpower 5 is very simple and only takes minutes to do. When I went for training at Anajet I took my mother, father, and one of my brothers with me. My mom who is 65 and not that technical knows how to clean the printer as well as print shirt and use the rip software. With the mpower printers Anajet has made it very user friendly and you don't have to have a background in shirt decoration or graphic design. My mom was taking images off the web and printing them.

Now the printer can have its issues but if you take good care of it and do the maintenance shouldn't have any real issues. Unless a part goes bad. And Anajet will over night you a new part and will help you over the phone to install it.

I'm also going to try to attach some pictures that I took of a printer check chip chart. basically its a test that they use on printers to see how well the printer prints. I used chip charts in video all the time. to calibrate cameras and monitors. When I was at Anajet I talked with my sales rep John. and another customer sent the actual chip chart files to him and he printed out some shirts while i was there to show me. That another thing as well All Anajet sale people use and print on the printers daily they also have taken the training class as well to be able to help the customer. They also keep in contact with you even after you buy.

well i couldn't upload and files here is a link to my dropbox folder with some files in it. I also put the anarip software in it so you can at least cheek it out.

I hope this helps
