mp5 maintenance station problems

I post another thread about the banding problems and I use the secret menu to engage the maintenance station up and down and only one side is going up and down and the first rubber gasket has chunks missing! The right side of the maintenance station is the side not going up and down so the lead oval gasket is scrapping across the print heads! I think this is why I can get one good nozzle check and the mantaince station is dirtying the heads. Looks like another call to tech support and a lot of ink wasted!

I would help if I could but unfortunately I am not familiar with that problem, I do know that when cleaning the station I have noticed how easy it is to move it up and down. I hope you manage to get it sorted. Would be interested to know what caused it.
Cant help with your problem but where is the secret menu ? it sure is a secret to me?

Hold down JOBS, MENU, ENTER at the same time. But be careful not to fiddle in there unless you know what things do.
I have fixed it. The station moves up and down and it guides on 2 guide posts one on mine was binding up and not going up and down and the print heads were scraping on the rubber rings on the station and fouling up the print heads. I sprayed some WD40 on the posts and the problem is fixed.

Well that doesn't sound good. I might prelubricate mine. Trying to avoid any new problems at this point.
