Hey everyone I am an online seller and since day one I have my mockups with models and the head cut off...many sellers I see just have the apparel by itself without a model I just wanted to get a general opinion, for sales...model or no model? Thanks.

How about a combination of both?

its more of a preference i think..

I have asked many of my customers if they prefer having a model or not . And all of them said it doesnt matter, they look at the image of the t-shirt itself/design for how good it looks not what is wearing it. So i started just using t-shirt blank images and i haven't noticed anything i should be worried about.

As long as your image/design is nice and clear and very readable, thats whats going to matter from my people. I do alot of one on one doing previews etc as well ,Any they like how i do it.

thanks for the input appreciate it :)
Using a model may be helpful if you are doing items like women's tees, and outerwear. In these cases, it's helpful for the customer to see how the item fits on the body. If you do use models, make sure to state the size of the garment that the model is wearing, as well as their height/weight or measurements. This will be helpful for customers to determine their size in your items.

I usually use a simple product picture without a model. I sell unisex sizes and these look standard on most people. I also have size charts everywhere, just in case.

I know that a model wearing the product is great for advertising so I sometimes include images created with the placeit.net mockup generator. I agree with Industryps, if using a model with women's fitted shirts, include the product size and model's dimensions.
Generally speaking, mockups with a model tend to attract more attention because they're more visually appealing. Another advantage is that they allow you show off your garment with more style and more voice. IDK if that makes sense, but let's say you're selling more urban streetwear. A mockup featuring an urban aesthetic might be more convincing than a plain t-shirt mockup.
