hii nikolai...clean and check asf sensor when starting up must run well

i have epson 1400 can't turn on(all light off),im hear sound beep...beep (2x) from mainboard,im try check and clean all sensor (pe,pw,apg,encoder strip etc) still can work, if anybody can solved the problem i appreciatie

im check all ribbon cable there is no reverse and connected properly,
but red light from encoder reader still off.
im test with disconnected all cable wire from mainboard,
but beep sound still hear

check the fuse on the power supply/

off course i did check all fuse( F1,F51,F2) mainboard & power supply, all its good...its so weird, maybe i must replace mainboard..thanks jeff

some times general error not caused by : pe/pw/apg sensor,motor,ribbon cable,encoder strip, etc. the general error can caused too by poor lubricated gear,you can try silicon grease

does anyone know what voltage the PF motor operates at? I would like to reverse the tray in with the motor instead of by hand. Seems like less stress on the belts etc.

42v you can used relay with other power for scheme ask renbis

very impression davey,im planning replace my pf motor and cariage motor like yours,what good brand/type for servo motor ?

We have testing 1100, 1390/1400, 1900/2000, 2880. Any one could just purchase one standard type ball screw, and install it, them it will work perfectly. If you print 20 inches long line, the printing result will be exactly 20 inches. Not 99% similar but 100% size...

thanks for your response davey,you are really DIYers ,i didn't see asf sensor on your servo motor or maybe you put behind the platen, i guess your ball screw and shaft 12 mm right?

if pf motor ok check the quality wires and not too long plug in mainboard,also check ribbon cable pf

error cr motor ussually caused by too tight belt,bad wires or broken sensor on back capping station...before you buy cr motor check this part

Hi I wane thanks for getting back to me so fast I have an old printer that I can use for parts I have changed the capping station and the cr moter but still same error then I cleaned the encoder strip and now it's working butt I'm not sure if that was th problem all along or I have a loose wire somewhere

for bad encoder strip ussually say "general error" but depend your printer model,for some epson large format say "error cr motor" thats the same problem too

I try EK too. In my case no difference. My dtg blows my mind today. Cr unlock error and loading position. Looks like that problem because i bend a chassis when cutting off some pieses from it.

i guess you got the trouble after send print job, its looks like weird move pf motor,clean and adjust your encoder strip

i just got email from ink manufacture from korea,he says that white DTG ink didn't need pretread and better performance than dupont. (its make a sense?)He say work with BASF corp. if anyone has experience with this please share

the diferent thing about bagged ink is amount of air, air always floated on surface,if do carefully we can reduce air without degas
