[Filth Ink]

Hi Guys,

I have a customer that wants Metallic Gold/ Glitter ink on black shirts. My question is would you need to do an under-base for this kind of ink or do I just hit it twice?

Also in my past, I've printed with this kind of ink and it doesn't seem look as good on the shirt? Any tips on printing with this kind of ink?

I used the wiflex gold..it's glittery

I did not use an under base but did hit it p/f/p

I've also used the Wilflex gold doing P/F/P works great I've also done a faded gold look hitting it just once, I used a 110 screen, might of been able to get away with hitting it once if I used an 80 screen.. Good Luck

I don't know if this will be welcome, but a couple of weeks ago I was at a restaurant and the young lady working there was wearing a black T with gold flake HTV and it looked really good! Said she paid like $8 at the local shop and helped make it herself.

Anyhow, was just wondering if HTV might be an option for you.

Print a clear base with a 156 mesh. Flash and then print the glitter. This will stop the glitter particles
from going into the shirt. It will lay up nice on the clear base underbase.

I did think it dried fairly quick on press, wondering if its one of those keep flooded things or if the flakes were hanging up, I used 156
