If I had a dark shirt and wanted to use white ink, and if the design has a distressed pattern overlay on it to make it look vintage (via photoshop), what screen would be the best for that? In other words, would a 110 or 156 mesh count be okay to use for this?

I've attached an example of what I mean.

I would use either a 196 or 230 mesh. If I created a distressed look using a distressed pattern over my image, I would not want a real solid white. I would want a white that looks distressed.
What do you mean by "I would not want a real solid white"? like, picking a different color white, or just having it not look solid?

If we want a solid, bright white we will either print-flash-print or use two white screens with a flash between them, depending upon he size of the order.

If I want to use white in a distressed design, a finer mesh will not lay down as much ink (as a coarser mesh would) and will give a more faded or distressed look with the distressed filter.

I'm new to screen printing, so forgive me if I sound stupid for asking :p but what about a mesh count inbetween 196 and 230, like 200? That would work too, right?
