Hi all I just got a merchant account with Flagship Merchant Account. I researched it and one of the reviews really solidified my decision: Credit Card Processing Review 2008 - TopTenREVIEWS
My question is, I should have posted here first instead of just diving in on this, does anyone else use this merchant account? On problem I I'm running in to is the tech support. It's 24/7 support for free, that's good, but the support does not speak English so well and I've had problems just communicating with them. Damn outsourcing American jobs! The other is trying to integrate the checkout with my cart. My site is built with 'Joomla' and uses 'Virtuemart' and I don't know if my web designer knows how to do this. I talked to the tech support and they said it is possible but my designer is giving me the run around. He was like ' To make life easier, just use Paypal..' Yea, great, but taking the easy route in life, as I have learned in life, is not the best or the most profitable way. So does anyone know a freelancer or whatever that maybe able to help if my own designer can't integrate this? Thanks in advance!

You have to just hang up and call back hoping for an english speaking person. It's the same with Dell, HP...any big corporation. Sometimes it takes 4 or 5 calls to get someone at Dell who you can understand.

Hi Vexx78,

While Flagship is the ISO (Independent Sales Organization) who set you up, Wells Fargo is actually your payment processor. My suggestion is to call Wells Fargo Merchant Support directly at 1-866-380-9828.

As far as your IT guy goes, well it is job to integrate the payments gateway and should be doing with out giving you grief. Using one of the major gateways such as Authorize.net or eProcessing Network should make it easier.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Ryan
