Hello,

I'm looking to do embroidery again. I've been out of that business since 2005. I was wanting to know if there is still a market for it and are you able to still make money. Also is a payment of 408.00 a month a good payment for the Melco Bravo. Please give me feedback

In my experience there is no money to be made running embroidery machines unless you have lots of heads.

There is money to be made in selling embroidered garments. There are lots of contract embroiderers who will receive your blanks and sew your orders. I would look in that direction first.

And for what its worth, we had Melco, Baradan and Tajima machines. I like Baradn and Tajima a lot...

Hello!! Thanks for the response. What about screenprinting ,but with DTG printer?

DTG can fill a need if you want to sell short run goods. We have a Brother 741 and it runs all day long.

You would want to run the numbers though as the printers are quite expensive.

Its an option - but the real question is do you have a market for it? Older technology and a different look and feel that every one expects now.

I wouldn't go that direction - but thats just me

A single head emb will get you into the game but as mentioned will not pay the bills. Use it to grow an emb biz and then get a 4 or 6 head and start to grow. It will pay for itself in no tome
