do i have to know alot of different forms of mathematics inorder to be able to do/use any vector design software like corel draw or inkscape etc. for example ? because i wasnt that good in math when i was in grade school at all...or can a person like myself some how get by without knowing geometry and alot of math type stuff with these vector design softwares? ?

i think you still need math.. not much....tiny very basic ones. like....
"one-fourth inch" is also called "quarter of an inch"....
"4-up to a page" is also 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 (or vice versa)
"client needs you to design a yard x 2 feet banner"....you should be able to translate that into inches or cm on your program.....

i have few more math terms we normally use in graphic designing but i am pretty sure you already got the idea....basic math is needed. the good news is, in my experience, those math basic needed can be learned while learning those graphic programs. :)

i love love love math but you don't need it for this work, a lot of companies print the measurements for t-shirts they are pretty basic, create a placement guideline for yourself (ex: for left chest small-tshirt 3 inches down from collar 1.5 inches from armpit inseam) you get the idea.
