What is the formula for figuring out material cost?
Cost of roll (ex; eco film, $35 per 15" x 5 yd roll)

Do you take cost of roll then / by sq inches to get cost of square inch?

So take $35 / by 2700 sq in. = 0.0129 cost per sq in. ?

Of course I would have to add shipping cost.

I usually figure by square foot, however heatpress vinyl does become a different beast. Some principles remain the same though. Keep in mind that if someone just wants a single number that's an inch high, you still have 14 inches going to waste that you paid for. Your vinyl cutter may also always leave some spare in the front and the rear after cutting, which also should be taken into account.
