Trade shows are a rough start, a better start is finding the requirements a retailer needs to buy the shirts, getting origin of shirt paperwork in order. For example do they have to be bagged, if so in quantities of how many? Do they require non toxic inks? Do they require their clothes on hangers? What kind of volume is necessary and at what distribution level? Then create sample packs of your shirts that meet such requirements. Find out how to create an account with the desired retailer in their purchasing department, and create a presentation. Doing regional homework helps too. Best of luck!
