The best ways to market your site, are the free ways. Start a blog, this will bring in traffic from search engines and if you have an RSS feed (blog feed) you can add that to RSS/blog search engines and there's tons of those. Plus, if you offer any coupons, you could go around the net and collect coupon sites and then add your site to the coupon sites for even more added traffic. There's tons of traffic avenues out there. good luck!

I guess the first question I would ask is who is your target market? That will determine what the best ways to get the word out are. You have to know where the people you want to become customers are and then you establish a presence in those places.

Starting a blog is not a bad idea although having a blog requires work if you're going to build readership. Search engines will index blog pages, but simply having a blog won't necessarily bring traffic to your site. You need to make sure your blog has content that keeps people on the site.

You can also announce your new on-line company with a Free Press Release. There are a number of sites on-line that do this. As an on-line company, you really have to maximize the way people find you or "in-bound" marketing. You will want to make sure your website has the right key words etc. There is a great site on-line where you can take free webinars. Check out Hubspot.
